We know your time is valuable, and you may be wondering how our process works, what is included, and what to expect on shoot day. That is why we have put together this FAQ section to give you clear, straightforward answers. If you do not see your question here, just call or text us at 616-717-8294.

 

TLDR: THE QUICK VERSION

  • Homes Are Shot As Is
  • Turnaround: 24 hours or less from the time of the shoot.
  • Local Zone: $0 travel fee within 30 miles of Grand Rapids.
  • Mid-Range (30–100 Miles): Custom travel quote provided at booking.
  • Regional Friday Special (100+ Miles): $400 flat-rate "All-Inclusive" (Scheduled Fridays only).
  • No Cell Service = No 3D Tour: We will subtract $25-$50 from the shoot, depending on the size of the home and our pricing.
  • Weather/FAA: If we can’t fly the drone, we adjust the price or reschedule at your choice.
  • Payment: Media is released immediately upon secure invoice payment.


SCHEDULING & TRAVEL LOGISTICS

  • Strategic Routing Policy: To maintain efficiency and low pricing, we operate on a Strategic Routing system and reserve the right to adjust your shoot time by up to 60 minutes to streamline our travel paths.
  • Arrival Windows: We ask that you allow for a 30-minute arrival window for all appointments.
  • Travel Pricing & Zones: Within 30 miles of Grand Rapids is free; 30 to 100 miles requires a custom travel quote provided via text or call.
  • 100+ Miles: $400 flat rate including our Signature Elite Package, held exclusively on Fridays to ensure total coverage for out-of-town listings.


TECHNICAL & SAFETY STANDARDS

  • Cellular Service Requirements: Our Zillow 3D Home® Tours and Interactive Floor Plans require a cellular data connection to process.
  • Dead Zones: If a property has no signal, we will proceed with all other media and reduce your invoice to reflect only the services delivered.
  • Drone Safety & FAA Compliance: All Star Drone Imagery is FAA Part 107 Certified.
  • Flight Restrictions: Federal law prohibits flight in rain, snow, or winds exceeding 20 mph.
  • Grounded Flights: If weather or airspace restrictions prevent a flight, you may choose to drop the package price to the next lower tier or reschedule the flight.


RIGHTS, USAGE, & LEGAL

  • Ownership & Usage Rights: Signature Home Media retains full copyright ownership of all media produced.
  • Agent Rights: You are granted a non-transferable, limited-use license to market the specific property and promote your personal real estate brand.
  • Restrictions: Media may not be resold, licensed, or given to third parties like builders, stagers, or other agents without written consent.
  • Creator Rights: Signature Home Media reserves the right to use any media captured for our own marketing, portfolios, social media, or commercial sale.


GENERAL FAQ

  • Shoot Duration: Expect 45–60 minutes. 
  • Property Condition: Please ensure the home is photo-ready upon arrival. We shoot homes "as-is" and do not clean, move furniture, We can provide "Photoshop" decluttering for an additional fee. 
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $50 fee to cover the gap in our routing.
  • Asset Delivery: Once your shoot is completed, you will receive an invoice; as soon as it is paid via our secure portal (Square), your high-resolution download links will be delivered as soon as they are completed.


 

PAYMENT & TAX REPORTING

  • Payment: I accept all major credit cards and debit cards via Square. You will receive an automated receipt immediately upon payment for your tax records.
  • 1099 Reporting: Because I process all payments through Square, the IRS handles the reporting via Form 1099-K. This means you do not need to file a 1099-NEC for my services, and I do not provide a W-9. Your Square receipt is all you need for your business deductions!
  • Compliance Records: For your brokerage's compliance records, here is the official IRS instruction (under the 'Form 1099-K' heading) stating that credit card payments are exempt from 1099-NEC reporting: https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i1099mec
